We furnish, hereunder, details of requirements for Marriage
Attestation, Marriage and Birth Registration for Ghanaians who
so demand.
1. Marriage Attestation:

Application letter from Ghanaian applicant |

ii) |
Valid passport with entry visa |
| |
iii) |
Bachelor, Spinster (certified by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Accra) or Divorced certificate |
| |
iv) |
Documentary evidence of fiancee as single
(incase of Japanese fiancee, family register with its
English translated version or to be translated at the
Embassy for a fee of 5,000yen) |

v) |
One passport-sized photograph of both
applicant and fiancee |
| |
vi) |
A fee of 5,000yen |
2. Marriage Registration:

i) |
Application letter from Ghanaian applicant |
| |
ii) |
Valid passport with entry visa |

iii) |
Original Marriage certificate (incase
in Japanese, an Official English translated version is
necessary. You may have it translated at the Embassy of
Ghana for a fee of 5,000yen) |

iv) |
One passport-sized photograph of both
applicants and fiancee |

v) |
A fee of 4,000yen |
Birth Registration:
| |
i) |
Application letter from the Ghanaian
parent |
| |
ii) |
Valid passport of Ghanaian parent with
entry visa |

iii) |
Original birth certificate(s) of child/children
(incase in Japanese, with its official English translated
version or to be translated at the Embassy of Ghana for
a fee of 5,000yen) |

iv) |
A fee of 4,000yen |
Applicants should kindly note that documents
2 & 3 above required that both husband and wife must appear
at the Embassy to append their signatures on these documents.
Also in some cases, the Embassy may invite the applicant and
his/her foreign spouse for an interview.
